The Emperor’s New Truth – What Lies Beneath?
What makes true style? A dazzling robe? A royal title? Or perhaps the courage to see the truth?
Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Emperor’s New Clothes and our latest TLC production, join us on a regal adventure to uncover the threads of honesty, courage, and self-awareness. This March, at Stage Camp by SRT Centre for Creative Learning, we’ll unravel the mysteries of this timeless tale and explore what really makes a leader worth following.
Pushing their creativity beyond the seams of this classic story, your young actors will have the chance to reimagine the narrative, dive into character-building, and learn the art of captivating storytelling. Join us at the end of the week to see your budding performers shine in a showcase that will leave the audience in stitches—figuratively, of course!
皇帝的新真相 — 假象背后究竟隐藏着什么？
怎样才叫有风格？披着一件璀璨夺目的长袍算吗？冠以皇家头衔算吗？又或者是拥有看清真相的勇气？
启发自安徒生童话《皇帝的新衣》以及我们最新TLC的制作，同我们一同踏上皇家冒险之旅，一同将诚信、勇气和自我意识的线给拆开来。在这三月份新加坡专业剧场创意教育中心举办的Stage Camp戏剧营里，我们将揭开这永不过时的童话故事中的奥秘，一同探索究竟什么特征能使一位领导者成为值得追随之人。
小演员们将把创意推向极致，突破这经典故事的线缝，并通过故事情节的重新构思以及人物塑造，来学习讲故事的艺术技巧。在戏剧营的最后一天，您也可以加入我们，一同观看您的小演员们在舞台上大放异彩，让观众乐不可支。
4-7 Year Olds
Let’s find out what the Emperor thinks about his dazzling new clothes… as we learn the importance of honesty and courage! Calling all 4-7 year olds to help uncover the truth in a week of royal theatre fun! Grab your imaginary needles and thread, and join us to weave together an exciting showcase where young performers will team up with new friends, explore the story’s important moral message, and develop their drama-based skills!
Stage Camp by SRT Centre for Creative Learning is a devising-based programme that takes on a child-centred, process-first approach leading up to an informal stage showcase on the final day.
Together with an experienced teaching artist, your young actor(s) will explore the following skills and key competencies…
Communication & Collaboration: Express and share ideas while promoting active listening to others, fostering an environment of mutual respect.
Empathy & Emotional Intelligence: Encourage the recognition of various emotions and exploring ways to express them effectively.
Honesty & Decision-Making: Learn about the importance of telling the truth and thinking for themselves through playful activities and storytelling.

让我们看看皇帝对他那件耀眼夺目的新衣有何看法，并学习诚信和勇气的重要！呼吁所有4至7岁的孩童们来帮帮忙，在为期一周的皇家剧院中帮我们揭晓真相！拿起你们虚幻的针线，同我们一起编织一场扣人心弦的表演，小演员们将有机会与新朋友们合作，探索故事中重要的道德观，并同时学习戏剧技巧！
新加坡专业剧场创意教育中心的Stage Camp戏剧营是一个以儿童为中心、编创为基础的课程，通过‘过程优先’的创作及教育方式，将会在戏剧营的最后一天带来一出非正式地小品。
经验丰富的戏剧导师将会带领小演员们一同发掘以下几项关键技能:
沟通与团队协作能力：
鼓励孩子们在表达及分享想法的同时，倾听他人，营造一个相互尊重的环境。
同理心与情商：
鼓励孩子们识别各种情绪并发觉有效地表达方式。
诚信于决策：
通过有趣的活动和故事来学习诚实和独立思考的重要性。
