Inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s The Emperor’s New Clothes and our latest TLC production, join us on a regal adventure to uncover the threads of honesty, courage, and self-awareness. This March, at Stage Camp by SRT Centre for Creative Learning, we’ll unravel the mysteries of this timeless tale and explore what really makes a leader worth following.
Pushing their creativity beyond the seams of this classic story, your young actors will have the chance to reimagine the narrative, dive into character-building, and learn the art of captivating storytelling. Join us at the end of the week to see your budding performers shine in a showcase that will leave the audience in stitches—figuratively, of course!
怎样才叫有风格？披着一件璀璨夺目的长袍算吗？冠以皇家头衔算吗？又或者是拥有看清真相的勇气？
启发自安徒生童话《皇帝的新衣》以及我们最新TLC的制作，同我们一同踏上皇家冒险之旅，一同将诚信、勇气和自我意识的线给拆开来。在这三月份新加坡专业剧场创意教育中心举办的Stage Camp戏剧营里，我们将揭开这永不过时的童话故事中的奥秘，一同探索究竟什么特征能使一位领导者成为值得追随之人。
小演员们将把创意推向极致，突破这经典故事的线缝，并通过故事情节的重新构思以及人物塑造，来学习讲故事的艺术技巧。在戏剧营的最后一天，您也可以加入我们，一同观看您的小演员们在舞台上大放异彩，让观众乐不可支。
8-12 Year-Olds
What happens when we let others’ opinions shape what we believe? And how do we find the courage to see things for ourselves? Calling all 8-12 year olds to step into the Emperor’s royal court and explore the themes of judgment, truth, and the power of thinking independently! In this week of drama-packed fun, young performers will reimagine this timeless tale, learn to question what they see, and discover the strength to stand up for what’s right. Join us at the end of the week for a showcase that will challenge perceptions and captivate the audience!
Stage Camp by SRT Centre for Creative Learning is a devising-based programme that takes on a child-centred, process-first approach leading up to an informal stage showcase on the final day.
Together with an experienced teaching artist, your young actor(s) will explore the following skills and key competencies…
Communication & Collaboration: Foster important values like respect, teamwork, and confidence development.
Empathy & Emotional Intelligence: Step into the shoes of different characters developing empathy and a deeper understanding of diverse perspectives and experiences.
Independent & Critical Thinking: Engage with themes of honesty and integrity, learning to think for themselves and stand up for what’s right.
当我们让别人的意见左右自己的信念和想法时会发生什么事呢？我们又能如何寻找勇气来亲眼目睹真相？呼吁所有8至12岁的孩童们一起踏入皇帝的宫廷，一同探索判断、真理和独立思考这三大主题！在这充满戏剧性的乐趣的一周里，小演员们将重新构想这个永不过时的童话故事，并学习质疑和分析自己所看到的东西以及发现自己捍卫真理的力量。在戏剧营的最后一天，您也可以加入我们，观看一场即将挑战自己观点和想法并且趣味盎然的表演！

培养重要的价值观比如相互尊重、团队协作、自信心的培养。
同理心与情商：
通过不同人物的视角来培养同理心，并更深入地理解多样化的观点和经历。
独立于批判性思维：
接触诚信和节操这两个主题，学习独立思考及如何捍卫真理。
