Booking Fee is as follows:

$6 booking fee per ticket for tickets above $50

$3 booking fee per ticket for tickets between $20.01 and $50

$1 booking fee per ticket for tickets priced up to $20

The Qawwali ensemble of Fareed Ayaz & Abu Muhammad, returns to Singapore with their signature genre that speaks of a domain beyond the material. The ensemble represents a scholarly tradition of nearly 700 years and consider it their sacred duty to preserve the principles and traditions of the qawwali.

Through their performance they offer the knowledge that has been passed down to them, a knowledge that speaks of ‘Divine and the Ultimate Truth’. They have performed and spread the message of the Qawwali in seventy countries, and have been credited with bringing this classical tradition to the youth and revitalizing it in the country on a mainstream level.

Terms of Ticket Sales

• Once sold, tickets are strictly non-refundable or exchangeable unless the Singapore government mandates the closure of events in Singapore. The Promoter reserves all rights to amend any terms and conditions without prior notice, and, in the event of any dispute, the Promoter’s decision is final;

Conditions of Entry

• Admission is subject to valid tickets produced at the entrance;

• Doors open 30 min before show commences, please ensure you arrive at the venue early;
• Mobile phones must be switched off or switched to silent mode in the theatre;
• Patrons are required to follow all house rules and regulations set out by the venue. The House Rules are displayed within the venue premises.

Fareed Ayaz, Abu Muhammad Qawwal & Brothers are among the world’s very finest exponents of Qawwali - a hypnotic, vocal-driven form of Sufi devotional music rich in poetic and mystical symbolism. Their group, in the typical style of their genre, is led by powerful vocalists, who loop through multiple verse-chorus sequences backed by other singers as well as harmonium, tabla, dholak, and hand-claps.

They are descendants of the Qawwal-Bachcha gharana of Delhi, tracing their lineage back to Mian Samad bin Ibrahim. The ensemble represents a scholarly tradition of nearly 700 years and consider it their sacred duty to preserve the principles and traditions of the qawwali.

They perform various genres of Hindustani classical music such as dhrupad, khayal, tarana, thumri, and dadra.
