Join NUS Press and editors Brandon Liew and Daryl Lim Wei Jie for the launch of In the Mirror: New and Selected Poems of Wong Phui Nam, a landmark collection by one of the foundational poets of Malaysian literature in English. The editors worked with Mr Wong to prepare his latest works, alongside earlier poems, key essays and criticism. An afterword by Edwin Thumboo completes a volume valued for its historical context and the literary rewards of Mr Wong’s poetry.
Guest-of-honour Prof Wang Gungwu and readers Aaron Lee, Aaron Maniam, Tse Hao Guang and Catalina Rembuyan will take part, with a choral recording inspired by Mr Wong’s work.
This book launch is part of SWF 2025 and is co-presented with the National Library Board.
