SWF 2025 Book Launch – 真龙有相 (The True Form of the Dragon)

Join us for the launch of Eastern Wood’s first physical anthology (in Chinese): 真龙有相 (The True Form of the Dragon).Born in the Year of the Dragon, this collection gathers bold new imaginings of the ancient totem by contemporary Chinese sci-fi writers. From genetic engineering to alien civilisations, these stories explore the dragon’s evolving forms in a high-tech age. Contributors include Baoshu, author of Three Body X (The Redemption of Time in English), and Wang Xiaohai, whose story 化龙 (‘Becoming A Dragon’) was selected for last year’s Sci-fi Database Annual Picks.

A panel discussion (in Mandarin) with authors, editors and leading voices in Chinese sci-fi will further explore the dragon as inspiration in contemporary literature.

This book launch is part of SWF 2025 and is co-presented with the National Library Board.

General Advisory

• Recommended age 6 and up
• Children aged 7 and below must be accompanied by one participating adult
• No admission for infant in arms
• Admission is subject to showing a valid ticket at the entrance
• All attendees must have a valid ticket to enter the event

• Approximately 2 hours with no intermission
