Embodied Flow — Class by Nah Jieying

This class focuses on fluid movement, sensitivity to internal and external sensations, and emotional expression. Participants will begin with an improvisation exercise, then break down a complex routine into manageable segments to enhance flow, purpose, and articulation.

About the Artist:

Jieying Nah (Tinydancerjane) is a Singapore-born movement choreographer, dancer, producer, and workshop facilitator. She is the founder of Tinydancer Productions, a company dedicated to creating interdisciplinary movement works for diverse stages. Trained in Chinese dance and artistic gymnastics from a young age, Jieying honed her skills at the School of the Arts Singapore (SOTA) and later graduated with a BA (Hons) in Contemporary Dance from London Contemporary Dance School, supported by the National Arts Council Arts Scholarship. Her exceptional talent earned her the prestigious Peggy Hawkins Scholarship. As a freelance dancer in London, she performed with renowned companies like Sisters Grimm and James Cousins Company, gracing stages such as Sadler’s Wells Theatre. Returning to Singapore in 2019, she joined T.H.E Dance Company, collaborating with acclaimed choreographers like Kuik Swee Boon and Kim Jae Duk. Jieying’s choreographic style blends physicality, whimsy, and relatability, reflecting her belief in the transformative power of movement. Today, she continues to inspire as a freelance choreographer, creating works that resonate with audiences and dancers of all ages and backgrounds.
