Sinopsis
How do you meld the practice of writing and movement?
In this session, writer Euginia Tan and theatre practitioners Tan Weiying and Wong Jin Yi will introduce participants to devising techniques that bind poetry and dance. The aim is to offer insight into channelling the nuances of text into the body and exploring how stanzas or words can be transformed into simple choreography.
To provide additional context, participants will also view short films and behind-the-scenes footage from the group’s residency showcase, followed by a collective discussion and feedback session.
Open to anyone interested in poetry, across all levels of movement experience.
Suitable for: Writers, dancers, performers, and anyone curious about the interplay between text and movement, from beginners to experienced practitioners.
