Kinetic Listening — Class by Rebecca Margolick

This session focuses on mind-body connection and versatility, drawing from improvisation, visualisation, tai chi, somatics, and modern dance techniques. Participants will work on coordination, efficiency, and groundedness through physical tasks that explore dynamics, endurance, and technique. The workshop encourages engaging with internal and external connections, enhancing senses, reflexes, and curiosity while building a sense of community.

About the Artist:

Rebecca Margolick is a choreographer and dancer whose works have been presented in over ten countries. Named one of Dance Magazine's "Top 25 to Watch" in 2021, she has received fellowships and residencies from institutions like Ailey’s New Directions Choreography Lab and Banff Centre. Margolick has created works for companies such as Oregon Ballet Theatre, Ballet B.C., and Arts Umbrella, and has danced with Sidra Bell Dance New York. With ten years as a freelance dancer, she currently works with Josh Martin and Andrea Peña.
