Morphology — Workshop by Zee Zunnur

The Morphology workshop takes place over 2 days:

14 June 2025, 10am–5pm

15 June 2025, 10am–5pm

This will culminate in a studio sharing on 15 June, from 5pm–5:40pm. Those interested in witnessing the progress and discoveries of the Morphology workshop participants, you may RSVP for the studio sharing here. Attendance is free but registration is required.

This workshop focuses on helping dancers connect with their inner rhythms and embrace the joy of movement to groovy beats. Through guided movement explorations, participants will practice embodiment and discover the power of their bodies. Zee will introduce her Morphology movement practice and share tools from her choreographic works.

About the Artist:

Zee Zunnur is a movement artist and long-time dancer with Hofesh Shechter Company (UK), blending contemporary dance with her Malay heritage and folk training. She has performed and choreographed for various prestigious festivals and companies, including T.H.E. Dance Company, Esplanade da:ns Festival, and Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Now based in Australia, Zee has collaborated with Marrugeku, Sydney Dance Company, STRUT Dance, Co3 Australia, and others. She recently created a commissioned work for the National Gallery Singapore. Currently, Zee is performing in a featured dance role in Oedipus at London’s Old Vic Theatre, sharing the stage with Academy Award-winning actor Rami Malek from January to March 2025.
